Novotipo Europa SA was present at the Empack 2011 exhibition, held in Madrid between 26 and 27 October 2011. Our participation was intended to promote our company and our packaging, propelling our presence in the Spanish market. Following its strategy of internationalization, Novotipo Europa S.A. invested in this event, showing some of the recently produced packaging for the food, pharmaceutical, and wines & licquor industries.

Participants were able to take a look at some of the new security solutions, developed by Novotipo. These may be incorporated into the packaging to ensure authentication.

To present Novotipo's most recent investment, a social gathering took place at the company's site, on the 14 th of December, with customers, suppliers and other business partners.
The total amount of the investment exceeds 7 million euros, fully supported by the company, and includes a Heidelberg Speedmaster DuoPress.
The enhanced performance of this equipment, with a high degree of automation and cost-effectiveness, allows conjugating several printing processes in one pass.
The event counted with the interventions of Grafopel's President and Heidelberg 's General Manager, having the special participation of Sintra's Town Hall Mayor, Prof. Fernando Seara, that awarded Novotipo with the Municipal Merit Gold Medal, approved last June.

After several days of auditing last October, APCER has informed that are gathered all the necessary conditions to renew the certification of the Environmental Management System according to NP EN ISO14001:2004 standard, and to maintain the certification of the Quality and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems according to NP EN ISO 9001:2000 and OHSAS 18001:1999 standards.

In order to modernize and increase the existing park of machines, Novotipo installed last August a flat-bed die-cutting machine, which combines high production speeds with short changeover times .
This acquisition is included in a larger investment project, which foresees until the beginning of 2006, the installation of other equipment in production areas such as press, laminating and die-cutting.

At the end of June the integrated pre-press software was updated and designers were trained.
New versions of technical and graphical design software were installed, introducing different and innovative functions.
“Security” applications stand out amongst the novelties, which allow endowing the graphic design with the necessary complexity to difficult counterfeiting.

The attribution of the Municipal Merit Gold Medal to Novotipo Europa S.A. was approved.
The decision was made at an ordinary private meeting that took place on 2005-06-17, having the corresponding proposal been subscribed by Sintra's Town Hall Mayor, Prof. Fernando Seara.
This intention had already been announced at the social gathering held to celebrate Novotipo's 40 th anniversary.

Novotipo is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2005.
To highlight this special date a social gathering took place with all company employees and other business associates, who have accompanied us throughout the years, and greatly contributed to the success we have achieved.
The event was in Lisbon , at Lispolis – Pólo Tecnológico Auditorium, and included the viewing of an institutional film and a presentation about “Security”, followed by a cocktail.
